You can transfer money from your Regular account into your IFISA account if you have an available ISA allowance.
You first need to turn the investment in your Regular account back to cash. You do this by going to the My Portfolio Page and clicking sell loans, you then enter the amount, tick the button to say that you agree and then click sell now.
Once the loans are sold, the funds will show in your available balance.
If you don’t already have an IFISA account with us you will need to click on ‘Open IFISA’ and open one.
You then need to click Withdraw/Transfer, select Transfer from Regular to IFISA enter the amount and click Transfer.
To invest the funds into loans you will need to click Invest, select IFISA account, make sure that the available funds button is selected and enter the amount that needs to be invested and click Invest Now.
If you are a Professional investor, you will need to select your own loans to invest in, in the usual way.
Troubleshooting
Do you have any pending investments in your IFISA account? Check before doing this. If you do have a pending investment, which you have accidentally set up when trying to transfer the money, or an outstanding one from before where you will not be sending the money, please make sure that you cancel it/them. The amount for the pending investment/s will be taken from your ISA allowance, so you will be limited on the amount you can transfer.
