As soon as your account is verified and your funds have cleared we’ll start allocating your money to projects on the easyMoney platform. If there are loans available, either in our Secondary Market or if there are any new loans that are being funded, your money will be invested straight away.
You will start earning interest on any live loans straight away, most secondary market purchases will be for live loans.
Please note that investments in new loans will not earn interest till the loan is live. The loan goes live when the borrower has the money, and the loan agreement officially starts.
Good to know
We have a strict lending criteria and new loans need to be signed off by our credit committee and our lawyers. Your money is safe in our client account and will only be lent when we are 100% satisfied that all documentation has been completed to our standards.
Although we try our hardest to make sure that we allocate investment to loans just before they are going live, sometimes there are unforeseen delays. There may be an issue with paperwork from the solicitors involved, or a delay with the purchase of the property, this means that your money won't be earning interest until the issue is resolved. We will always do our best to get any issues resolved as quickly as possible.
If whilst you are invested in a loan that hasn’t yet gone live, loan parts are up for sale on the Secondary Market, we will make the switch so that your investment buys the secondary market loans. This will mean that your investment will start earning interest sooner.
